Vidcode – Free Virtual Coding Club for Kids

Vidcode is offering a free virtual coding club during this time of school closures and social distancing. If you are interested in learning to code, or learning more about coding with a group of peers and instructors, sign up and try it out using this link

What Is Vidcode?
Vidcode is an online coding platform! We’re research-backed and winner of the 2020 Parents’ Choice Award.

What will students learn?
Students will learn JavaScript programming through creative projects. Check out examples of previous student work to get an idea of what you’ll be making.

How will students Join this club?
Once you sign up, you’ll receive a Zoom link to join the conference call. Students will also have access to a forum to share work and ask questions.

When does the Vidcode Virtual Coding club meet?
Every Tuesday at 3pm EDT / 12pm PST.
There’s a Thursday session that covers more advanced material; students are welcome to join those sessions after attending 3 Tuesday clubs.

Who is this club for?
Any students (10 years old and up) who want to learn to code! We start with the absolute basics, and after three sessions students can switch to the more advanced Thursday club. Sessions will be recorded for students to catch up on older material.

Does this cost anything?
No, in support of educators and students during school closures, we’re running this club free of charge.
