Edvard Munch: So Much More than The Scream
Friday, September 29, 2023, 7:00-8:15 pm via Zoom
Presenter: Janet Mandel, Arts Educator
Edvard Munch, famous for four versions of The Scream, was a prolific Norwegian painter and printmaker. This talk will look at his fascinating and unconventional life— he was damaged by alcoholism, hallucinations, social isolation, and paranoia— as well as his psychologically evocative paintings. His need to explore situations brimming with emotional content and expressive energy characterizes all of his astonishing work.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Pennington Public Library and the Hopewell Valley Arts Council.
