Make a Model Rocket, July 10

Wednesday, July 10, 3 pm – 5 pm, Ages 8+

Delve into the world of space engineering. Explore our solar system before venturing out into distant galaxies. Through illustrations and group experiments, learn about orbital velocity, stages of a rocket, Newton’s Third Law of Action and more. Then make your own cardboard model three-stage rocket. If there is time, students can make additional models, such as spacecraft, the night sky, and constellation viewer. Each registrant receives the 64-page book, “Space: Science Activity Book, 16 pre-scored card sheets, and a pair of nuts and bolts for the model rocket that they will make during the workshop, as well as additional models they can then make at home.
