The Life of Bees – June 11

Discover how these little creatures impact our world in a big way. Learn more about the life of a bee, the role of a beekeeper, what is honey, and learn how saving our bees can save our world. Then come outside with us to taste several varieties of honey, learn about beekeeping equipment and make your own bee craft.

In addition to being a licensed beekeeper, presenter Samantha Schmell is is a plant-based foodie, nutritionist, registered yoga teacher, wellness warrior, animal lover, and forever student of life. Sam has been beekeeping for 3 years. She collaborates with libraries and communities in PA and NJ to bring nutrition education, agricultural awareness, and spiritual empowerment to all. This is part of Hopewell Valley’s “Come Outside and Play” program, a community-wide celebration of the great outdoors. For all ages and families.
