According to Capital Health‘s Director of Marketing, there are a number of ways the community can help the hospital staff:
- Donate homemade masks to go over N95 masks. These homemade masks are to be made from cotton material (no fibrous material) and cannot have elastic. They are best made with a ribbon or something that can be tied. Here is an instructional video that describes how to make a mask for hospital use: How to Sew a Medical Face Mask with Ties
- Children can draw or write thank you notes so they can be distributed to front line folks. Children can also include pictures of themselves. These help bring smiles to doctors and nurses. The Director will print and post these and hand them out. The best way to get these to Capital Health is to scan and email them to publicrelations@capitalhealth.
- Capital Health is not accepting any outside food, but they are accepting gift cards from local merchants, restaurants, etc. The Director will hand them out to the staff so they can use them as needed. Donations of gift cards may be dropped off at the gift card drop box located at HVRSD Board of Education Offices. 425 South Main Street, Pennington, NJ.
