Programming Class for Grades 5-8

Learn Python programming from basic data types and syntax to more complex loops and algorithms. We will also apply programming concepts by developing games and algorithms. No previous coding experience is required. Students from grades 5-8 with any level of prior experience are welcome to attend. For more about InspireSTEM: https://inspirestem.wixsite.com/
About Lead Instructor, Ishaan Poojari:
Ishaan Poojari, a current junior in high school, is the founder of InspireSTEM and started the organization as an effort to provide quality instruction in STEM fields for middle school students who are interested in advancing their knowledge beyond the traditional classroom environment.
He has extensive knowledge in science fields through his involvement in many AP courses, university-level science programs, and as a member of his high school’s Science Olympiad team. Additionally, Ishaan is very experienced in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python, as he has taken many programming courses including AP Computer Science and is a board member of his high school’s Computer Science Club. He has successfully conducted similar Python programming courses at other libraries and is excited to bring this program to the Pennington Library.
