Registration for the 2012 Summer Reading Program "Dream Big" will begin in June.

The program will run for 4 consecutive weeks, every Wednesday 1-2:30pm, starting July 11 for children entering grades K-5.  Each week will center around a specific theme, week 4 will be held at Kunkel Park and facilitated by the team from the Watershed. Registration is limited. Check back soon, for online registration and more details.


Created to inspire a love of books and reading, story time and craft provides an opportunity for children to spend special time with their parent or care-giver.  The programs are designed for pre-school aged children, but all are welcome to join the fun!  Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Girl reading book with butterfly wingsIn order to make story time enjoyable for all, the maximum number of participants is 12 children.  If the class is full, children unable to participate will be guaranteed an opportunity to enjoy the next available story time session.  No pre-registration is required.

Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals.  The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full-text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.

Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals.  The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full-text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.

Funk and Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia 

Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals.  The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full-text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.

Middle Search Plus 

Provides full-text for more than 140 popular middle-school magazines.  All full-text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles).  Full-text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays.  Middle Search Plus also contains 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an Image collection of over 44,207 images.
